01.18.2008 Happy New Year!I hope everyone's still having a Happy New Year! To properly kick off 2008, allow me to introduce you to the sixth sister of the Heart Suite. Her name is Indigo and she comes from somewhere in the Mediterranean.
^_^ I also have one of my usual Art Walk group shows at the Goddess Store tomorrow night, so come on by if you can! The Goddess Store and Studio 12.21.07 Merry Christmas!Merry Christmas everyone! Come do your last minute shopping at my little booth during the "Evening on the Avenues" street fair tomorrow night (Friday, December 21st) in Lake Worth from 6 to 10 pm. There will be live music and many other arts and crafts vendors, as well as plenty of lovely little restaurants for outdoor dining! The address is as follows: Cultural Plaza 12.09.2007 Three Holiday Updates!Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone! I'm quite busy this season, and have plans to attend several shows. Here are two major dates for December: 1. Solo show at the Goddess Store Saturday, December 15th 2007, from 7pm to 10 pm I get the Goddess Store's gallery all to myself for one evening. As usual, this is an Art Walk night and many stores will be open late. So come on over for some Christmas shopping! The Goddess Store 2. "Evening on the Avenues" in Lake Worth Friday, December 21st, from 6pm to 10 pm A lovely evening street fair at the heart of down town Lake Worth. Come enjoy live music, arts and crafts vendors and outdoor dining! I'll be at my booth. :D Cultural Plaza 3. I will soon be announcing a couple of new products, and here's a preview of my Heart Suite bookmarks. Final design is still subject to change, but these pictures should give you an idea:
11.15.2007The Holiday season has started, and I am happily working on new things. No artwork updates today, but I come bearing news: 10.30.07 Halloween!Have a spookylicious Halloween, everyone! Allow me to introduce you to my newest piece, "The Party Dress". ~September 1st, 2007 - PTH is One Year Old!Cheers! Purpletophat.com is officially one year old today! To celebrate and start off our second year, here is Peony. You can see the rest of her winged sisters on the notecards pages. ^_^ ~June 19th, 2007Summer is upon us and we have new stuff in the Shoppe today! First, there are 4 new angel watercolor designs in the Cards section, under Note Cards. I'd originally intented to paint one piece for Valentine's Day, but ideas kept coming, resulting in the Heart Suite:  Second, another section has been opened for sketch prints. It wasn't until several people asked about my sketches that I realized I should probably put them up as well. And so I did. You can now find two of my favorite pieces in Sketches. Since they're black and white, they'll go for $10.00 apiece as opposed to $12.50. The Links page has been updated as well. Check out the sites of artists Lost Goat and Lisa Victoria, as well as the Goddess Store and Enchanted Deva's myspace profile. I also have banners up if anyone wants to link to purpletophat.com. 07.14.07Last minute update: I was not expecting this, but it turns out I will be showing my art today in Long Beach, CA at the Second Saturday Artwalk! If you're in the area, please stop by. I have a booth, and it should be recognizable! The show is from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will be held between First and Broadway off of Linden Ave, in the East Village Arts District. I had a wonderful time with my guests during opening night, and I'm sad to leave California before the show closes, but alas, home is calling me back. This doesn't mean you Californian visitors or residents cannot drop by for a visit. :D The show will only officially close on April 30th, so there's still time! I'm very happy with them. They're blank on the inside, and have been printed on a lovely textured, feather edged paper. Please go and see them! ~November 24th, 2006So. Christmas is fast approaching (already...) and I will be adding a new item to the store very shortly: greeting cards! I started making them for the show last week, and seeing as people seem to really like them, I figured I'd make them available here as well. What do you think? No, really, don't be afraid to tell me what you think. :D
Speaking of my first show last saturday at the Goddess

~November 13th, 2006Mark your calendars for my very first show on Saturday, November 18th 2006! I will be showing and selling my art at the Goddess Store during the Art Walk.
